About DSM Engineering Associates
DSM Engineering Associates, P.C. focuses primarily on providing general mechanical and electrical engineering and construction services, with a special concentration on energy consulting and energy related projects, to the utility, public and private sectors. A sub-specialty is a vast quantity of experience in designing and retrofitting energy systems for multi-family housing.
The company is dedicated to designing and developing programs, projects & products that result in the most efficient and cost effective utilization of available energy resources. Toward this end, DSM Engineering Associates has assembled a staff of licensed Professional Engineers and energy experts, with an average of over 30 years of post graduate engineering experience, that are able to bring a remarkable depth of expertise and qualifications to a wide range of projects.
We are currently providing consulting engineering services to more than 25 clients encompassing a diverse range of projects including design, project management and performance monitoring of cogeneration systems, engine driven refrigeration and engine driven air compressor systems; design and project management of absorption chiller installations ranging from 30 to 2000 tons; studies, designs and project management of computerized energy management systems; design and project management of boiler and boiler room equipment systems; design and project management of window and patio door replacement projects covering over 6,000 dwelling units and designs of specialized HVAC equipment and systems.
We have also provided design-consulting services for numerous energy conservation studies and several R & D projects, including development of a "next generation" small packaged cogeneration module based on the turbocharger principle, a gas fired turbine driven absorption refrigeration module and an oil-free compressor design for pressurization of gas filled circuit breakers. We have completed a contract to provide design services, in conjunction with a NY State Energy Grant, to an air conditioner manufacturer for development of super efficient packaged cooling and heating equipment.
We provide services to clients as a NYSERDA FlexTech consultant with ongoing three-year contract awards to provide consulting engineering services covering energy conservation studies and analysis to New York State facilities that are provided with electrical service by Con Edison of NY.
